It’s apple pie szn 🍎🍏

How I made my Apple Pie 🍎🥧
1. In a bowl, add 2.5 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix with fork until combined.
2. Cut up 1.5 sticks of cold butter into cubes and then break the cubes into the flour with a fork. It is okay to have lumps.
3. Slowly add ice water (i did about 1 tablespoon at a time) and continue to mix until the dough starts to come together. I used my hands for this and used about 10 tablespoons of water . The dough should not be very tacky or sticky.
4. Start to clump the dough together and work it into a ball.
5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge.
6. Peel, core and slice about 2.5 pounds of apples ( I went apple picking and just mixed them together)
7. In a bowl, add the sliced apples, 3/4 cups of sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 of a juices lemon
8. Make sure the apples are coated and refrigerate
9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (200°C).
10. Flour your surface and cut the pie dough in half. Roll out both halves ( these are making the top and bottom of your pie.
11. Add your dough to the pie pan and trim the edges.
12. Pour in apple filling mixture and pat down. We added Carmel sauce to one of the pies (yum) and added extra cinnamon
13. Roll the other half of the dough on top or cut into thin slices and criss cross
14. Make sure you crimp together all the edges and brush the pie with a beaten egg mixed with tablespoons of sugar.
15. Bake the pie for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
